At the invitation of the ‘Flying Salon’ of the allotment gardens in Altenburg, Datscha Radio is traveling to Thuringia several times this year.

Laubenlauschen is a radio program that we create together with gardeners, residents and artists live on site. Our studio is the garden table, we share the ether with the singing of birds, the buzzing of insects, with the wind and (hopefully good) weather. The openness of the studio corresponds to an openness of the program. Datscha Radio plays with time, with formats, with sound recordings from nature, and will maybe even surprise you with one or another night broadcast.

Laubenlauschen recreates ‘radio listening” as a space of exchange and shared experience – in the smallest room as well as beyond the region.
Look forward to explorations of regional garden culture with our guests from Altenburg and the surrounding area, to ‘audio paintings’, to a daily ‘Laubengang’ and to conversations with the gardeners in front of and behind the garden fence.
